Our therapists utilize one or more therapeutic modalities based on the strengths and goals of the client.

The Social Enrichment Center’s weekly social skills groups are formed to provide fun opportunities to make friends and build social skills through peer interaction. In-School Support Services

Individual Services

Our staff provides academic, social, and behavioral support in the classroom, aiding your child or teen throughout their school day. Areas of focus include academic support, behavior management, meaningful participation, and promoting social interaction.

SEC also provides direct services to students to minimize challenges generalizing to the school setting. SEC is available to meet students with IEP or 504 related needs for counseling or social skills support sessions in the school building for cases beyond the scope of practice for the guidance counselor or case managers.

Parent Consultations

At the end of our sessions, parents are provided a brief update of the session, including concepts, activities, and progress toward goals. To provide additional information about case conceptualization, treatment, progress, strategies to use at home, or to answer other treatment questions, SEC also provides 15-60 minute parent consultations (in-person, phone call, or Zoom) that work around your schedule.

School-Based & Consultative Services

School Consultations

SEC staff are available to meet in person or virtually with faculty and staff to discuss students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs all while offering resources, recommendations and support for treatment. SEC also pairs with teachers, paraprofessionals, aides, or support staff members for training services directly in the classroom, demonstrating ways to best implement IEP accommodations, modifications, and behavior plans.

Professional Consultations

SEC staff are available to meet with other professionals including medical professionals, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and others to offer and utilize resources, recommendations, support, and collaboration on treatment goals.
