Camp SEC in Media, PA

Overview

SEC offers personalized all-ages summer camp programming in our Media location! The SEC’s group and individual sessions are available year round, but many service hours are offered at an additional frequency or duration in the summer while clients are out of school. 

Individual and Group Services at Camp SEC

SEC can create half or full day summer programming for your child including any of the services listed below. 

  • Individualized psychotherapy or social/behavioral therapy

  • Social skills/behavioral group therapy 

    • Social skills groups focus on conversation skills, emotional regulation, cognitive flexibility, attention, and more

    • Summer social skills groups may include community outings and field trips, arts and crafts activities, and STEM activities

    • Play skills (such as turn-taking, initiating play, creating a play scheme, using words during play, flexibility, and rule-following)

    • Independent living skills (such as cooking, grocery shopping, and budgeting)

    • Vocational skills (such as typing, sorting, alphabetizing, workplace etiquette, time management, and task completion)

    • Executive functioning skills (such as planning, organization, task initiation and completion, problem-solving, and impulse control)

  • Individual sessions with group push-in

    • Practice social skills with individualized support and the ability to be “pulled out” to help with emotional regulation and skill-building

  • Academic support **

  • Occupational Therapy **

  • Speech and Language Therapy **

  • Applied Behavior Analysis

Mini-Camps

During the summer, SEC creates daily and weekly “mini camps” to target similar goals. These mini camps are typically 2-3 hours and occur one to five times per week based on the needs and availability of the group members.

Community Outings*

SEC clients may travel to local stores, restaurants, and venues as an opportunity to practice social skills with the support and guidance of staff. SEC clients have traveled to Target, Olive Garden, Game on State, Linvilla Orchards, Kung Fu Tea, local libraries, and more!

*Community outings are dependent upon guardian approval and client support needs.

Scheduling

All schedules are individualized. 

Pricing and Coverage

Tuition is created based on services received and number of hours enrolled.

Check with your insurance for possible reimbursement. 

Families may consider SEC’s Media Summer Camp an option for Extended School Year (ESY) but qualification for ESY is determined by the child’s IEP team. 

Payment plans are available through the SEC.
