Parent and Professional Education

The SEC offers opportunities for parents and professionals to learn more.  We offer educational and informative workshops on a variety of topics relating to services we provide and the community we support.  Our directors are able to come to your school to speak directly with your staff or you can attend a workshop held in our Springfield location.

Onsite Parent and Professional Workshops: Free

Offered at our SEC Springfield location, these workshops are focused on topics that relate to our community.  We customize our workshops to meet the needs and interests of our parent community as well as professionals.  All are welcome to join us. Workshops are posted to our website and Facebook page.

LPC Supervision: Professional fee applies

SEC Director, Beth Roberts, offers individual supervision for qualified LPC candidates.  Beth is a dedicated therapist who specializes in children and adolescents with social and emotional challenges.  Therapies provided in our Springfield facility are offered Monday- Saturday during the school year, and Monday- Thursday for the summer.  It is the responsibility of the student to verify and review all the necessary requirements from the PA state licensing requirements.

Offsite Staff Development/ Training: Professional fee applies

Our directors are available to come directly to your school or institution to share their professional knowledge.  We design our speaking engagements to meet your needs.  Our expertise in social skills development, behavior management, and executive functioning apply to the special needs community as well as the general education setting.
